Toffee Crunch Bites

 

5 cups frosted shredded wheat cereal

¾ cup butter or margarine

1 ½ cup brown sugar

1 cup walnuts, chopped

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Place cereal in large mixing bowl, set aside.  In sauce pan combine remaining ingredients.  Boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Boil for a minute or so.  Pour over cereal and stir to coat evenly.  Spread mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 7 to 10 minutes stirring every few minutes until mixture carmelizes.  Cool on a cookie sheet.  Store in air tight container.
