Cornflake Cookies

 

2 blocks shortening, can substitute

(1 block. butter and 1 block margarine or 2 block margarine)

¾ cup sugar

1 tsp. baking soda

2 cups flour

2 tsp. vanilla

crushed cornflakes

 

Cream shortening and sugar.  Add all dry ingredients except for the cornflakes.  Form balls about the size of walnuts.  Roll in crushed corn flakes and place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Flatten balls with the bottom of a glass which has been covered with damp paper towel.  Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
