Maple Brown Sugar Frosting

 

2 ¼ cup powdered sugar

½ cup dark brown sugar

8 tbsp unsalted butter

1/8 Tbsp salt

½ cup real maple syrup

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

2 Tbsp milk (if needed)

 

In a medium mixing bowl, gently beat sugars, butter, and salt until combined.  Continue beating and slowly add the maple syrup and vanilla extract.  Increase mixing speed and beat until light and fluffy.  If needed, add up to 2 tablespoons of milk to mixture to get it to a smooth spread consistency.
