Sweet and Sour Sauce

 

½ cup pineapple juice

½ cup white wine vinegar

2 Tbsp. peanut oil

2 Tbsp firmly packed lt. brown sugar

1 Tbsp. soy sauce

½ tsp. black pepper

2 tsp. cornstarch

4 tsp. cold water

 

Combine pineapple juice, vinegar, oil, sugar, soy sauce and pepper in a sauce pan.  Bring to a boil.  Dissolve cornstarch in water.  Add to hot mixture and stir until sauce is clear and slightly thickened.
