Plum Sauce

 

1 jar plum preserves (12 oz)

2 Tbsp vinegar

1 Tbsp. brown sugar

1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion

1 tsp. crushed red pepper

1 garlic clove, minced

½ tsp. ground ginger

 

In a small saucepan combine plum preserves, vinegar, sugar, onion, crushed red pepper, garlic, and ground ginger.  Bring to a bowl, stir constantly.  Remove from heat, cool slightly.  Refrigerate in a covered container overnight to blend seasonings.  Makes 1 ¼ cups.
