Cheesy Cheddar and Ham Pockets

1 lb frozen bread or pizza dough, thawed

1 pkg (9 oz.) shaved ham, or leftover ham slices

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 egg, beaten

1 Tbsp parmesan cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Place dough on lightly floured surface, flatten slightly and roll into 12x8 inch rectangles with a rolling pin.  Top dough evenly with the ham slices.  Make sure to leave a ½ inch border on all sides.  Mix cheddar cheese and mayo on evenly on top of ham.  Moisten edges of dough with water.  Starting at one of the long sides of dough, fold 1/4 of the dough over the filling, do the same to the other long side of the dough.  Do not overlap the folds, the ends will slightly be touching.  Firmly pinch ends of dough together to seal.  Place, seam-side down, on lightly greased baking sheet.  Cut three diagonal slits on top of dough.  Brush evenly with egg and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.  Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool 10 minutes.
